“2021 NZRCA 1/8 Nats hosted in Blenheim. Fresh track with cooking oil on the surface which worked very well. Quite grippy compared to what this club track is usually like.

Topped seeding in 1/8 IC Buggy & 1/8 IC Truggy, 2nd in 1/8 EP Buggy. Start of qualifying was a bit shaky as the grip came up but got the cars dialed in and TQ’d all 3 classes!!

Mains couldn’t have gone any smoother. EP Buggy was an easy victory in A1, A2 I made about 3 dumb mistakes on the first lap putting me miles behind the lead pack. Drove back to 2nd right on the rear wing of young Logan Toia which was driving amazing in his e-buggy, was fun racing ya Logan! A3 again it came down to me and Logan. Both of us making mistakes while leaving the rest of the field behind. I ended up getting the win from eliminating some errors that Logan had at the end.

Truggy I lead from strat to finish in the main and won by 2 laps over Tekno teammate Jonathan Coluccio as he was wishing he had a Tekno truggy 🙂 Was very dominant and look forward to the NT48 2.0 when it’s released!!

Nitro Buggy was just epic. I think I only had 2 times being marshalled the entire race. Personally it was the drive of my life! I lapped the field I think twice in the end to take the win ahead of Shane O Connor and team mate Jonathan Coluccio rounding out the podium.

I can’t thank everyone enough who helps me do what I love doing. It’s a pleasure to be part of the team I am surrounded by on and off the track and even away from the track. Always an epic time.”
