The weather was really good, the cars in practice felt really great only some minor changes were made during the day. In E-Buggy I set the pace and TQ on the 1st qualifier. On the second qualifier I changed and tested other tires but didn’t like them but overall I did TQ for the event. In the Mains I started with a good one making a late push and winning A1 on the last corner, in A2 had many mistakes and didn’t find the groove but in A3 I was back online and pull to win A3 and the Fajardo Cup.

Also in the event raced Nitro Buggy qualified 2nd had a great race but finished 3rd after the 3O min A-main and Congrats to Teammate Jerome Marrero on his 1/8 Nitro Truck Win.”

In the second qualifier I change my tires and had an even faster qualifier were I managed to make 10 laps in only a 5 minutes qualifier. For the Main I left the truck as it was because it was amazing I started in the upfront and was more of doing consistent laps I had some pressure at the begging of the race but after the first pit, I was able to drive for the win and the Fajardo annual Cup. Tax Relief Race (US), report by Brian Bush:

“It’s been several months since I was able to make it out to Small Addictions RC, but with their Annual Tax Relief Trophy race it gave me an opportunity to get the schedule to match up. I had used my standard carpet base to start upon arrival with a new layout and a ton of new fun features I knew I would need to make some small tweaks to get her dialed in. Round 1 I would set early TQ, Round 2 I would come back with a really solid run improving my TQ and holding out for the overall TQ in 4wd 13.5 buggy. The EB410 was dialed and throwing the fastest laps in the building, I knew I just had to keep my head straight and I had a great shot at the win. That said.. an early mistake put me to the back of the pack, I worked my way back up to the front by lap 10, the buggy was awesome.. then I would have some bad luck and get tied up in a multi-car wreck and a marshal in the main 4pack letting a very fast 2nd place driver get back by. I kept my cool and just focused in and with just a few laps left I was able to make a clean inside pass before the dragon back feature and take the top spot back over and finish out for the Win. Some fun and really clean racing.. a fun day for sure.”

Overall results:

Marlborough Champs (NZ), report by Jayden Jamieson:

“Saturday was all open practice for most of the day with 2 rounds of qualifying. Cars were awesome and dialed as soon as they hit the track. Didn’t have to change the cars much at all and was ready for qualifying. The 2 rounds of qualifying after practice were solid. Tried different tyres in each run and both runs were 12 lappers that no one else was able to get. Day 2 had 3 more qualifiers and managed to TQ every round in both cars aswell with more solid fast runs. Mains were just as perfect as the qualifiers, ebuggy won all 3 mains, and nitro buggy won the 30 minute amain with no mistakes the entire race. Both cars were amazing. TEKNOTAKEOVER”

Boothill Money Series 1 Race (US), report by Marcus Carver:

“First outdoor race of the season and it was a one-day money race.

Ran E-buggy and 4x4sc and had a couple of hours to learn the new track and get the cobwebs off of the E-buggy as I last drove it back in Oct. All day I’m pretty sure I was overdriving the E-buggy but the 4x4sc was on rails and was just soaking up all the bumps\jumps.

We had 3 Heats but the 1st heat was thrown out due to issues. Then Triple 10 minutes A-mains. Was able to TQ 4x4SC and take 1st. Qualified 4th in Ebuggy and finished 5th in the mains. Just need more wheel time with the Ebuggy as I’m a little rusty.”

Overall results:

TQ/1st: Marcus Carver – Tekno SCT410.3

2nd: Curtis Tockey

3rd: Dalton Fox
