Tekno RC Team driver Kyle Rhodes won the electric buggy class at the recent February Freeze race held at Wolcott Hobby and Raceway in Waterbury, Connecticut. Here is a report from Kyle:
“On Saturday February 13th I attended the annual February freeze trophy race at my home track, Wolcott Hobby and Raceway. I competed in 1/8th Electric buggy for the first time with the EB48.3, we had one heat of E buggy for this event. We ran two five minute qualifiers followed by a six minute main. I was able to set TQ in round one and reset it again in the second qualifier to secure the overall TQ for the main. When the tone went off I was able to quickly break away from the pack and focus on turning clean consistent laps. As the race ended I took the win with a lap on the field. Reinaldo Vega took home second driving a Tekno EB48SL and fellow Tekno RC team driver Zachary Sampiere took third also debuting his EB48.3. My buggy was dialed all day and didn’t need any changes.”
