Ryan Lutz and Joe Bornhorst together with Sean Ramos attended the annual Toys for Tots giving race in Columbus Ohio. With 141 drivers in attendance Tekno RC team drivers dominated the race sweeping both E-Buggy and Pro4 Short Course classes. Here is a report from Ryan:
“Arrived around 8am and had 3 hours of practice. Next was 3 rounds of qualifying where Joe and I swapped TQ’s multiple times in 4×4 Mod SC and ebuggy classes. I would take overall TQ in ebuggy and Joe would take 4x4sc. In the mains we battled hard and close for much of the mains. In both I would make a mistake and fall back and put on a charge. In 4×4 sc it wasn’t enough and Joe held on for Victory. In ebuggy I caught up and Joe got caught in traffic allowing me to get by and take victory. Tekno took 1-2-3 in both classes. Lutz-Bornhorst Ramos in ebuggy. Bornhorst-Lutz-Ramos in 4×4 sc.
Many people brought toys to donate to Toys for Tots. We filled the back of a truck with toys!”
